Macedonia Schools Project 2023 Annual Report

Vanco Prke School, 2023Since 2004, the Macedonia Schools Project has experienced slow, gradual growth providing more help each year to schools, teachers and kids in the Republic of North Macedonia. Due to its status as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization, the MSP has reached a wide scope of donors.

 

2023 Grants

In 2023 the MSP was able to award grants up to $2500 to schools in seven locations. Below is a summary of the wide variety of equipment participating schools requested:

● Aleksandar Makedonski Primary School, Skopje: musical equipment, printer

● Bratstvo-Edinstvo School, Ohrid: TVs, projectors

● Brakja Miladinovci Primary School, Struga: projects, laptop computers

● Josep Broz Tito School, Struga: laptop computers

● Kosta Racin Primary School, Podares: interactive whiteboard, laptop

● Vanco Prke School, Stip: heaters/air conditioners

● Vanco Nikoleski Primary School, Ohrid region: outdoor classroom facilities

 

Volunteer Teaching Experience

Unfortunately, the MSP was unable to find a volunteer for this year’s program. However, the MSP Board approved the resumption of the program for the summer of 2024, and we are currently accepting applicants.

 

Board Developments

This year, the Executive Board members have remained unchanged with Blazo Mitasev as President, Leon Speroff as Vice President, Biljana Guchereau as Treasurer, and Michael Speroff as Secretary.
